I am a big animal lover, having done a wildlife biology degree. Love tigers, big cats and everything about them (was lucky to spend 12mths in the US working with them). I have been keeping tropicals for a while... started out in a big way with bettas (aka. siamese fighters), even imported 17 pairs of show quality halfmoons, DT, CT, and plakats from Thailand... needed to rob a bank for the cost.. but they are stunning. I have since started having an interest in other species... mostly catfish (have cories, bristlenose), black ghost knife fish (currently have 8), and cichlids... though I do remember a day when I said I'd never get into cichlids!! Convicts were my first... and I'd have to say my fav's... but since have Electric yellows that I love. The spare room is now the FISH ROOM, with over 20 tanks (and many all through the house)... and soon the new garage will house a huge setup!! Hope to soon get my hands on some Cuckoo cats, peppermint bristlenose and some more cories to really kick start the breeding. I hope to be able to breed several species as up here in Rural CQLD they are hard to find!! No matter what I do... I will always have fish!!

FISH, FISH, and more FISH!! I love them!! Breeding fish, feeding fish, cleaning fish tanks, spending money on fish... but hey... it is just as bad as a drug habit... just a bit more rewarding!!
